Blastocyst culture

blog img

Blastocyst culture is a technique used in in vitro fertilization (IVF) that allows embryos to develop for an additional two to three days in a laboratory before being transferred to a woman’s uterus. This extended culture period allows the embryo to reach the blastocyst stage of development, at which point it has a higher chance of successfully implanting in the uterus and developing into a healthy pregnancy. Blastocyst culture also allows for the selection of the most viable embryos for transfer, which can increase the chances of successful pregnancy and reduce the risk of multiple pregnancies.
