Assisted Hatching is a lab procedure where we can help the fertilized egg “hatch” from its “shell” by creating a small crack with a laser in the zona pellucida. Some people may have greater pregnancy rates as a result of assisted hatching because it is thought to help an embryo implant in the uterus. It can also be done on previously frozen and thawed embryos.
