Dr Dhaval Mangukiya is a renowned doctor and the best gastro surgeons in Surat, India.

In the year 2006, he earned his M.B.B.S. from the Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education & Research.

But this was insufficient. He wanted to become a surgeon after he became a doctor rather than merely an M.B.B.S. And thus his arduous journey began. He was able to become a surgeon after three more years of diligent labour. He received his M.S. in General Surgery from Mahatma Gandhi Missions Medical College in Navi Mumbai in 2009.

Because of his passion for medicine, he began working on his studies in general and laparoscopic surgery at Bhatia General Hospital in Bombay in the years 2009 and 2010.

At this point, he was performing gastric procedures in the gastroenterology department and was so interested by it that he made the decision to develop his interest in the subject and become the best gastro-intestinal surgeon in Surat, Gujarat. He travelled to France in 2011 to strengthen his position in the field of minimal access surgery and returned with a diploma in the field from the European Institute of Tele Surgery (IRCAD), University of Strasbourg, France.

As a visiting consultant in all major hospitals, he began providing private surgical services in the areas of gastro-intestinal and hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery in Surat in January 2013. He began working at this hospital in February 2015 as the department’s chief consultant gastro-intestinal surgeon and director of the SIDS Hospital & Research Center. At Columbia Hospital, he also serves as the course director for the fellowship in GI and HPB surgery.

Dr. Dhaval Mangukiya having very vast experience in the field of Gastro-Intestinal and Hepato Pancreato Biliary Surgery. More than 80 major and supramajor procedures of the liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and biliary tract have been carried out by him. Also, he routinely does difficult gastrointestinal surgery, advanced laparoscopic surgery, and GI-HPB cancer surgery. Currently, Dr. Dhaval Mangukiya performs more than 80 operations per month.

He has extensive experience with a variety of operations, including open and laparoscopic liver resections, laparoscopic and open pancreatic surgeries, difficult gastrointestinal procedures, laparoscopic colorectal resections, and gastroesophageal operations.
