A couple, all the way from U.P. came to visit our senior consultant Dr. Kaajal Mangukiya with complaint of unable to bear a child despite number of attempts for years.

Dr. Kajal Mangukiya proceeded with her routine screening process to pin point the exact cause of their problems in order to give them the best treatment available. During this process, Dr. Kajal Mangukiya did a sonography, and found that one of her ovary was very large in size and appeared to be a hemorrhagic cyst. Moreover the Salpingo-sonography reports indicated that both her Fallopian Tubes were blocked. To know the exact area of blockage and to understand the physiology behind her large ovary, Dr. Kaajal Mangukiya suggested the patient to undergo a procedure called diagnositic hystero-Laproscopy. This procedure is advised to understand the basic physiology of the particular female and also helps the doctor to provide appropriate treatment for any possible complications present at that particular time.

Couple had faith in our doctor and knew about her experience in this field and immediately agreed to carry on with the process. During the procedure, Dr. Kaajal Mangukiya noticed something that was never seen before. She came across whitish discharge which was oozing out from that large ovary and with suctioning she also noticed hair and other structures that are found in a dermoid cyst.

Patient and her husband was explained in detail about the benign tumour that was discovered during the procedure. In addition to that, consents were taken for removal of the dermoid cyst. Bilateral tubal blockage was found to be severe hence the IVF was the best possible treatment for this couple.

Today, they come for regular follow ups for the ANC and the IVF conceived babies are growing healthier by the day.
